Organ Rebuilding
Some organs have experienced many alterations over their time and at the point when they are in need of major refurbishment some clients decide to opt for a complete rebuild of the instrument. Rebuilding involves many of the same processes as restoration work but with the addition of changes to the action and/or stops. Some stops may be removed in favour of new ones or some stops added to improve the colour (sound) of the organ. During rebuilding it might be deemed appropriate to electrify the organ which involves replacing the existing action with solid state transmission.
