Full Organ Overhauls
All organs will require a full overhaul at some stage in their life. The timing of which is largely determined by its age and level of maintenance over time. The process of overhauling involves stripping the organ down so that all its components can be cleaned of dirt and debris as well as enabling essential repairs to be conducted deeper within the instrument than is possible through general maintenance. We have conducted many overhauls throughout our years in the industry from small house organs to large church organs. If you would like further information relating to this service, please contact our team who will be happy to assist.
Specialist Organ Cleaning Services
At Peter Wood & Sons Organ Builders, we provide specialist organ cleaning services to our clients across the UK. As long as your organ is well-maintained and tuned regularly, then cleaning will only be needed around every 5 to 15 years. Whereas full organ overhauls are recommended every 20 to 30 years. We have years of experience carrying out organ cleaning and have the skills, tools and knowledge needed to provide a professional and efficient service from start to finish. The main reason that organs require cleaning is because over time they collect dirt, dust and debris from their surroundings, which affects the speech of the pipework and can affect the action.
Professional Organ Relocation
We offer professional organ relocation services for all types and size of organ. Organ relocation is often required when the building in which it is in no longer requires it, whether this is due to closure, sale or other reasons. We are experienced in dismantling, storing, transporting and re-erecting organs. We have a wealth of experience moving organs and have become the first port of call for many. Our dedicated team will work closely with you from start to finish to ensure your organ is safely moved to its new location. If you are in need of advice or support with this service, please contact one of our team who will be happy to assist.
